Gave up after about an hour. We saw faint shimmers but nothing like the show in May. We actually were out looking for the comet but this was a nice consolation prize.

@george I didn’t spot it at the time, but looking at a picture I took at 11:08 PM last night, maybe I caught the comet? Right side, above the trees. I didn’t see much for aurora, though.
