Two postcards in the mail today. Trying to keep up a pace of at least one a day, with a nightly run to a post office (or to a mailbox) to get them into the system for tomorrow.

A2B3 lunch, Wednesdays, noon Eastern, 11am Central, 9am Pacific. We peaked at 14 simultaneous attendees, total 16. I dropped at 90 minutes but there was still a call going then.

The Annie, blowing her horn on her way through Ann Arbor.

Looking for a copy of Monty Python's "Life of Brian" on VHS or DVD or Blu-ray ("blurry"). Anyone to buy-borrow-give?

Whats your favorite #pubnix? #public #unix server? I'm down with SDF.org, and I'm loosely aware of the Tildeverse but whatcha got?

First real snow of the season...so happy!

Anyone else here running #PiSDR ? I'm burning a new image for one of my Pi 4's. There's plans for a newer Ubuntu 20.10 based support, and to boot on the Jetson Nano, so this is mostly to get a taste of things.

Kubecon this week. I hung out in the hallway track, visited some booths, and tuned in to the post-keynote talk shows. It was great, enough like being there to make you miss being there.

My CEO wrote on LinkedIn that he was excited about a project that I've been working on for 3+ years. We announced a big increase in funding for it, the challenge is to keep it close enough to "in budget".

ARROW radio club fixed DMR repeater, so I now can roam around more talking to the world.

The Thursday a2b3 lunch group has switched to Wednesdays, because my $DAYJOB corporate calendar is full on Thursdays but we have a "no meetings" Wednesday schedule.

Things I learned: a quantity of sausage casings is a "hank", about 100 yards or enough for about 125 pounds of sausage, and that it's easy to buy that quantity of casings but hard to find someone to sell you a smaller quantity.

Looking for a suggestion for an uninterruptible power supply, especially one that doesn't have lead-acid batteries in it. I know battery tech has advanced a lot over the years, and I've never owned a UPS before so I don't have a lot of background knowledge to work from.

City Council meeting was not as long as expected last night, which means I was in bed early and now up early.

Big props to CM Eyer who called the question on a resolution that was going nowhere after 30 minutes of discussion, prompting a brief parliamentary flurry as no one had remembered that happening before.

The whole thing caught the City Attorney off guard, and he was not in possession of a handy copy of Robert's Rules to adjudicate.

Do any of you have a paper rolodex? I'm using a few of them - seven separate ones in fact - to keep track of names and coordinates.

Rotating the calendar forward to 2020-W47.

I'm using the tiniest of calendars for this, a little knitting row counter. If I had several of these, I'd encode other day markers. As is, it's a tiny reminder of where I am in the year.
