If you've ever found yourself missing the "good old days" of the #web, what is it that you miss? (Interpret "it" broadly: specific websites? types of activities? feelings? etc.) And approximately when were those good old days?
No wrong answers — I'm working on an article and wanted to get some outside thoughts.
@molly0xfff the lack of responsibilities, although Lessig was already pointing out how things could go wrong. The possibilities? The fact that it was a kind of in-group signifier for people who were into the same kind of stuff? The lack of financial incentives for pretty much any of it, just amateurs doing it for the love of weird stuff.
Huh, there's a lot of overlap with the Fediverse as it is today.
